...you gotta love it!

It's just a Monday night, and Mason and I
had dinner at the house. I fixed us each a
tiny chocolate caramel brownie cake thing...to have as
treats after dinner.
We both hurried through our dinner so we could get to the "good stuff!"
Hours after dinner, Mason and I are
sitting on the couch talking...
I ask, "Mason , what was your favorite thing for dinner?"
with no prompting at all, he so overly excited says...

"THE CHOCOLATE!!!"

The Target soda cup story, that I just have to tell! Mason knows that every Sunday, as soon as we leave church, before we even get to the car, where we are going next. You see, every Sunday after church Mason and I go to Target to get a hot dog and a lemonade. Well actually, he gets flavored water, it's lemonade, just REALLY watered down. For those that know...I don't let Mason have hardly anything sweet due to his corn allergy, because 80% of the packaged food out there has some sort of CORN in it....I'll stop at that! Back to Target, so Mason gets his "lemonade," and then has fun pushing down all the bubble labels on the lid. What he doesn't know is that mommy gets COKE! I'm taking the real stuff...not diet or "watered down." Full styrofoam rim to the medal kinda COKE!!! All bubbly and popping, you know what I'm taking about! So, this Sunday, before we left Target we filled our cups full of "lemonade." The whole ride home, I watched as Mason's lips never left the straw. I thought, boy he must be so thirsty! It wasn't till we got home, bags down, keys on the hook, that I went to take a good long sip of my...you guessed it..."watered down lemonade...YUCK!" So, I offered him his lemonade, eyes wide and ready to drink...he took a sip and then started to cry...asking for lemonade. I went to get my drink, and do you know, he drank the THE WHOLE THING!!!! I mean where did it all go to in his little tummy? I'm just praying that by next Sunday, he will have forgotten what "REAL LEMONADE" taste like. I know wishfully thinking, that boy doesn't forget a darn thing. Serves me right, trying to be sneaky all this time with my..."watered down lemonade!" Oh, by the way he didn't go to be till 9:30PM!
